It's a Wonderful Day!

So much excitement at the Early Learning Center!

Our Playground Equipment has arrived!!

And it should be installed BEFORE my preschool friends start back to school!

After years of fundraising and saving, we are finally getting Play Equipment for our Back Yard!

Between the support of our families and our PTA and a very generous donation from i9 Sports, we are almost to our goal!

In case you haven't heard of our amazing Playground Partner: i9 Sports, they have been supporting our children for years!  You might recognize their logo from our T-shirts or because they funded the big green slide in our lobby!  When they aren't here supporting our school, they offer youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for ages 3-14 - and more information can be found at: www.i9sports.com.

We still have about $1,500 to raise to fully fund the project.  If you or anyone you know would like to make a contribution, please send them our way!  (But checks shouldn't be made out to the Polar Bear!  Instead, all donations can be sent to WSNPTA here at the Early Learning Center.  Our PTA is also able to take donations on-line through their website at www.wsnpta.org.

.... and there is more excitement!

Today from 11 am - 1 pm and again from 4 pm - 6 pm, preschool families will be here for our Back to School Event!  At this event, we make sure all of our forms are complete, get transportation information, and find out their teacher assignment!  How fun is that?!?

Check out the district web site for more information about this and other back to school events!

I gotta run!  The secretaries are counting on my help to get everything ready for our friends!

                                                                                            Sincerely,
                                                                                            The Polar Bear

Spring Is Here!

I just wanted to let all of my preschool friends know that I am taking good care of our Praying Mantis Eggs and Tadpoles while everyone else is on vacation!

Can you see that our tadpoles are starting to develop back legs!

Although I miss all of you, I am also enjoying the Rest and Relaxation.  We have had so much going on ... remember these great days?

We had a wonderful visit from my old friend Paddington Bear -  He brought books for all of my friends.  He knows how important early literacy is!
(BTW although Paddington and I share the same last name, there is no relation.)

We also had a great visit from our friends at Goldfish Swim School who talked to us about water safety.  Don't I look good and safe in my U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets!

That's all for now!  Have a wonderful week and I will see you on Monday!

                                                                                            Sincerely,
                                                                                            The Polar Bear

Yeah Miss Julie!!

Check out this great photo of me posing with our very own Miss Julie and Roadrunner from The Harlem Wizards!

He is in town with his basketball team to play against our staff team, the Wonders Of Westerville otherwise known as WOW! Teachers and staff from across the district will be there, coached by our own superintendent, John Kellogg!

This afternoon, Roadrunner stopped by the ELC and, we got to watch some of his fancy moves! It was super fun!

This is part of a fundraiser to support Libraries for Liberia.  More information about this event can be found at: http://www.wizardsinwesterville.com/

The game is TONIGHT, February 6th at Westerville Central High School.  Tickets are available at the door which opens at 5:30PM. Game time is at 6:30PM.

Let's go cheer for Miss Julie!

Sincerely, The Polar Bear
